Beware!!!!! Possibly Scammed
Has anyone had an good/bad experience ordering manuals from a vendor online.
http://www.arborjunction.com/Shop%20Manuals.html I attempted to order a 1969 Chevy Truck overhaul manual and believe I may have gotten burned. Payment through paypal was complete shortly after order was completed, but no manual. It has been approximately 3 weeks and I have attempted to contact via email and phone numbers but all are invalid or disconnected. Location is supposedly in Davey Nebraska. Unfortunately this was my first purchase online for anything and may possibly be my last. Let me know if anyone has had a similar experience and what I can do to possibly recover my costs. |

Since you paid with paypal, you can probably get most of your money back. File a complaint, they have all his bank info so they will be able to get your money back.
Good luck. |

I'll have to find out where Davey, NE is. If it's close I'll try to find out more info and let you know. Good luck.

Don't let this transaction turn you against ordering online;
there are many legitimate venders that are frequent contributors to this message board and can be a tremendous help to anything you need to know or purchase for your truck; I hope PayPal can get your refund for you Good Luck

I live in North Platte so I checked mapquest.com to see how far Davey is from me and the only thing it comes up with is a Davey road outside of Lincoln. Are you sure it said Davey NE?

I agree to file a complaint with paypal, if you didn't receive the goods, they are really good with things like that. It will take about a week or so to hear back as they investigate the case and contact the seller. You may want to give it a little while though for the benefit of the doubt, becasue I think e-bay considers 30 days a reasonable amount of time to get your item. Also, stay away from James and his chrome, he is both here and on e-bay. We received poor chrome and were told we could have a refund if we didn't like it. Well, over $200 later, no refund bad chrome and he was not easy to deal with at all, he got very angry with me. Anyway, don't let it ruin your on line buying, you really can get some good deals, but always check people out and read feedbacks and such. Thanks,
Bad

A while ago, I was helping a buddy move. Then the now infamous "we got a extra set of speakers left over - selling them cheap" scam artists pulled up. They were in a White Dodge van, asking us if we wanted to buy some top quality, expensive home theater speakers, cheap! Luckily I saw posts from literally hundreds of users on the Usenet about this (being burned), and told the guys to f**k off! I let em know that people were aware of this scam, and that I'd be letting everyone I know, to watch out for these idiots! They left in a hurry!!!
BTW - for those of you unaware, what you get after shelling out $300-$400, is a pair of cheap crappy speakers in nice speaker boxes. They're worth about $5 though! I haven't bought anything off the internet myself. I guess the reason for me is, I'm IMPATIENT!! hahaha. If I can't have it in one hand, and handing over cash with the other - it's not going to work.

Kinda strange his domain name is registered in Fairbury & Davey is where he is supposedly at. The two towns are about 74 or so miles apart. Davey is a little town with nothing a few miles north of Lincoln on hwy 77.

I got scammed once, I was getting gas, and some guy came up, "hey man you want to buy some kenwood 6x9's for $60.00." Like a fool I said yes. Dont get me wrong the looked real and sounded good. But my brother inlaw said hey these are not Kenwood speakers. So we went on line and looked up the numbers on the back of the speakers, and sure enough they were fake. I was so pissed off. I went back to the same gas station like two weeks later. The same dumb a$$ came up to me and asked me again. I answered him with a foot in his a$$, and we talked a little more. Need less to say he lost two teeth for the $60.00 he took from me. I think we both learned a good lesson that day. :p
