This little gem is the truck I keep at the farm. I never took a picture and posted it though I have had it for 4 or 5 years.
been rolled over with a load of grain years ago but still purrin along at 84k miles. Still has the original hoses on it and the trans has never been rebuilt.
I love the original hand painted name on the side.
You have to wonder how many newer trucks could be turned over and last 40 years on the farm.

have to admit I have a attraction to them myself.
Biggest reason. I use it and dont have to worry about the dust on the gravel road, scrathes from limbs on the wooded paths or draggin dirty feet in the door.
I cringe to think about getting one of my nice trucks down to the fishin hole like I do with this one.
I just use it and wash it now and then. Cant beat it.

You say it rolled over? Where was the damage from that? Just curious because other that the two small creases in the bed sides, it looks pretty good!

You got that right! Some of the stuff I've done with my '69 I would never do to my Sierra. My C-20 is an important tool around my property, I'd be lost without it.

Very nice! I just picked up a similar one - it's a C10, but same exact shade of green with a white roof, except it has brown doors. And a couple more dents. Wanted a truck I could use for hauling but with more character than a new truck.

Forgot to metion thanks all for compliments. I do keep up with it b/c I am somewhat OCD, but I defiantely use it. It's nearly my favorite because of that.
Kieth, yes when I bought the truck it still had the wood cab height rack on it for hauling grain and or livestock. The roof is crupled up, the pillar behind the driver door is wrinkled. broke the p/s mirror glass, windshild and dented the hood.
Said it got off the road on a rainy day with a load in it and over corrected and when it came around 180 it rolled into the ditch.
Glad I wasnt on that ride.
BTW, the 3/4 ton power brakes are so sensitive on this that I imagine it'd be easy to bring it around even on dry pavement.

Farm trucks are great. I had one, it was a '67 C-20 lwb stepper with a 6 cylinder and old time 4 speed. I sure miss it.

Maybe someday I will find another one, but for now the '92 K-3500 dually will take on the farm duties.

I actually brought this truck home from the farm b/c I replaced it as my farm truck with an 85 Chevy K-20 diesel so I can cross the river at the ford. The ol'e C-20 would get stuck in the gravel stream bed every time (well, once was enough for me so I never tried again)
Keep an eye out and I bet you find another old one.

Yep, the '92 dually works out ok especially since it is a 4 wheel drive. I am always on the look out for another ole farm truck, Chevy/GMC of course.

The '67 lwb stepper is in the process of being converted to a swb stepper with a 454, of course it will be a nice driver and not a show truck.

My son and his wife have show trucks and they are rarely ever driven.

Sounds like that will be alot of fun with a big block.
I finally sold most of the restored stuff I owned for the very reason that they sat in the garage and were rarely used.
I still have a couple that are nice but not so much so I am afraid to take them out for a ride.
I'll let you know if I see an old farm truck around.
