Looking to swap out my serp belt for regular v belts

a few years ago I bought on jegs the serp belt setup for my 72 blazer, I got rid of the ac so the bracket on the right side has no use except for the tensioner. So I need pulleys and brackets for alt, ps and harm. balancer. Would like to get it all from one person for reasonable price.

Re: Looking to swap out my serp belt for regular v belts

I have a v belt set I would like to trade for your serpentine set. If the other deal falls through, let me know. Mine is currently on a 74 350. Not sure if that would be different from your set up or not.

Re: Looking to swap out my serp belt for regular v belts

That's a long water pump. If you want to make a deal with me, I would swap you all components to make it easiest. Have a brand new chrome alternator, a good PS pump, and would be willing to buy you a new correct rotation water pump.

That is IF you want to go with the same long water pump setup. By changing everything over you could go either way... your call.

Re: Looking to swap out my serp belt for regular v belts

His way would be easier. I can get the brackets off a newer model Chevy to get me fixed up. I personnally like the long water pump myself

This is a better picture and this is the same one that I had ordered from them. What I dont like about it is that on the pass. side bracked on the top right there is a hole that looks like it should bolt into the pass. head and does not come close to lining up. Since I dont have AC any more dont use anything on that bracket except the tensioner.

The good thing for me is that I just bought a used A/C that has a compressor with the 6 rib belt so this actually solves problems for me

Looks like we have the exact same PS pump... could just pull the pulley if that would be easier for you.

Let me know what you think...

Re: Looking to swap out my serp belt for regular v belts

One other thing, to be up front about it... I will be taking leave from Talibanistan in a week. And 6 hours. And 33 minutes. Give or take.

So if you are in more of a hurry, I understand. If not, happy day!

Re: Looking to swap out my serp belt for regular v belts

I think that should work, I am in no serious hurry. Still tryin to find a way down south to get my cage put in. Not really sure what its all worth, can tell you that the stuff have about 50 miles on it and the rest has been idle time and dust time. shoot me a PM with what you were thinking and we can work it out from there, and yes I can just pull the pulley on the PS pump to make it easier
