Parking Brake Assembly
I am thinking about using the parking brake from a 1985 Chevy truck on my '53 Chevy truck. I will have to modify the ends by shortening the cable an inch and crimping on new ends. I had tought since the differential is from a 1976 Camaro I would use a parking brake off a camaro or a 1988 S10. What are your thoughts. I really like the way my 2005 Chevy Silverado parking brake assembly was designed. This would be easy to fabricate, but need something immediately. I will probably make this type of assembly later on. You may have used something that you like better, so share your opinion with me. I actually like the 1953 style and perhaps modify the cable going to the kick panel mounted brake assembly. Send pictures if you have some.

Re: Parking Brake Assembly
Another question. If I decide to use the original '53 system, where would I find the parts for the cross member that the rear drum cables attach to? I can make one but would prefer to use a stock one.
