Krazy Texan joined the square body boys
So I sold my Lincoln simply cause it was starting to show its age and parts on a mark viii ain't cheap and you just don't see them in junkyards but I did pick up a new daily driver an 86 k10 350 4spd. motor was recently rebuilt and only has about 30k on it. It has some rust but not bad for an Iowa truck. I would love to show you guys but can't post pics from my phone

Re: Krazy Texan joined the square body boys
ok here it is my 1986 k10 350 4bbl with an sm465 trans and np205 transfer case. only rust in the truck is the driver side floor which someone did a redneck repair on and patched with sheetmetal and the rockers are bad but it gets me around and keeps me dry. i only give $1600 for it with a snow plow and all the fixins. Im still getting used to the gas mileage and driving a 3spd beign as i dont use 1st gear as opposed to a 5spd in my other truck but im loving this truck. so far i have put new brake lines on it and done a full tune up and greased the chassis. this week i plan on going through and changing fluids in both axles, trans and transfer case. and soon plan on putting a spray on bedliner in it.

Re: Krazy Texan joined the square body boys
I thought about a lift but I'm just gonna put 33 tires under it is all much more than that I have to modify my plow mount and I want to keep this one a driver not a toy

Re: Krazy Texan joined the square body boys
You're kind of a little feller for a Texan. Do you sit on catalogs to see and strap blocks to your feet to reach the pedals? "I'm gonna R-U-N-N-O-F-T" I can see you're clearly excited by the new truck, though
Good score with the 205 transfer case, that's a hoss. Too bad it's the driver's side floor pan, I'm about to part one out with a decent passenger floor but the driver's been converted by the Rust God to make it a Fred Flintstone type. |
