Re: transmission crossmember problem

I dont know about the ECE crossmember but my th350 crossmember you have to put in an angle and hit one side using hammer and then the other. Seems impossible but really it will line up and snug in perfect. I used a rubber mallet/hammer. So i didnt dent anything up. ALSO make sure one side when angle in is close to where you want to BOLT it up at

Re: transmission crossmember problem

I installed mine by just putting it in at an angle and then rubber mallet. I had to use ratchet straps to pull frame rails in because it spread some when old cross member was removed. I have the body off of the frame so it was easy. Had to drill new holes because put a 700r4 tranny in.
