1972 K/10 Pics.......

Well it has been 7 yrs. since I finished the resto on my truck and while looking at the odometer the other day I realized that I have officially put 100,000 miles on my truck since I bought it about 17yrs ago so I figured I would clean her up and take some recent pics of her honoring the occasion....plus I know how much you guys love pics so I thought I might share.....I have not done much to her other than enjoy her....I recently had the bumpers powder coated as the nicks in the paint were killing me...also added NOS mirror heads.....oh yeah and I have put about 30,000 miles on her in the 7yrs....enjoy.....

Didn't want my other toy to get jealous so I snapped a couple pics of her to....

That's a beautiful truck. Not many people could say they put 100K miles on a truck that looks that good.

Awesome, nice resto and even better than that you have gotten a lot of use out of her. I was looking at my odometer and I have put a whopping 385 miles on mine since the restoration.

I'm going to have to check my picture folders. Are you sure these aren't the same pictures you posted 7 years ago?.............................................................................................Dar n,I forgot. My computer crashed in '07 and I lost all my pictures. Guess I'll have to take your word on this.

Special K...believe me they are not the same pics and what the pics dont show is the "character" it has picked up along the way..(nicks, scratches, and unfortunately some rust making its way back to my Goodmark doors)... ......but since you lost your pics here is one of the original pics......

but I did shoot them in the same location.....

Very nice truck and Chevelle! Are those the D29 below eye level mirrors? I understand the DG4 mirrors are chromed. Just trying to verify what mirrors my truck came with originally. Where did you find those mirrors if you don't mind me asking?

Yes they are the DG4 mirrors....I was lucky enough that the original brackets were on my truck when I got it, I just had them powder coated....the mirror heads were another story...I think it took me about 2yrs to find 2 NOS ....found 1 on ebay and the other a member here was selling a camper version mirror that had the correct head I needed so I bought it just for the mirror...the repop heads tend to vibrate at highway speeds and are mounted off center....good luck
