73-76 inner window felt question....classicparts dont fit right

I bought some new window felts to install on my 73-76 door panels from www.classicparts.com and they dont fit good at all. As you can see in the pics the clips should extend past the rubber/felt to allow it to be tall enough up the panel. The clips are also not positioned correctly on the rubber/felt and dont align with slots on panel.

Anyone else bought any from another company that fit correctly?

I wonder if maybe you got the wrong part. I'm pretty sure the bottom one in your pic is what mine for my '90 Sub, that I just put on, look like.

Edit: Just went and looked. Those style clips are exactly the style that are on mine.

LMC lists the 73-80 and the 81-87 differently.

Classic parts does too, and has different part #'s. Pictures at their site look identical tho. The different part #'s and the fact that they look exactly like mine are why I wonder if maybe he got the wrong part.

Re: 73-76 inner window felt question....classicparts dont fit right

well I ordered for the correct year and the part number I ordered is whats printed on the sealed bag.

Question is....has anyone ordered these from a different vendor and they fit correctly?....if so please let me know what vendor.

Alot of times these parts are made and same part sold at different websites and obviously I dont want to order the same chinese junk again.

No I havent contacted them yet, however all they will say is send them back and we'll send you another set. Cost of shipping would almost be what I paid for them so it doesnt seem worth it plus I dont want to wait 3 weeks for new ones that dont fit either.....I just rather scratch that company off my list of ones to buy from.

And the next company will sell you the same thing because, like you said, somebody else made it for that application.

I ran into this on my '73. I made them work, I may have just used the center hook that appears to be as tall as the OEM clips. (may give you a little lateral adjustment also, I really don't remember what I did, but they went on).
Mine came in a complete weatherstrip kit.

I wouldn't do that. CP is just a warehouse. Just like LMC, Summit, JEGS, and others. Out of chevy truck specific warehouses though Classic does have the best costumer service.

I will try that but the middle piece falls inside a slot so I dont see how that alone would hold it flush against the panel.

this is a clear flaw in the design, I cannot believe they would still sell something that doesnt fit properly...not even close. I guess I will pay triple price and try and find some NOS liners or worse case clean mine up but that sucks.
