Noob. 67 shortbed stepside DD
Hey there people, new to the site. I picked up a 1967 C10 Shortbed Stepside about 2 months ago for 1200 bucks with the title. Of course it has it's 67 rust issues but overall in pretty decent shape. Progress so far is Jeep springs in the back and 1 1/2 coils cut up front. Headgaskets and cam will be done tomorrow. Plenty of pics will be taken too. But how to i post them?

Re: Noob. 67 shortbed stepside DD
I appreciate it. The truck stays in Durham, at my job, until i get it where its good to drive. I put some glasspacks on it with the cam, and it sounds amazing. I just have to stop the leaks.

Re: Noob. 67 shortbed stepside DD
Ended up not doing the car show. Just cruised around. I think I decided on a color. It's a Toyota color we have at work that was mixed wrong. Its a Copper color. Looks like poop on paper in the pic. Let me know what yall think.

Re: Noob. 67 shortbed stepside DD
Ok, back to this thing. I got a little side tracked at work and havent really done anything to the truck. Just a new radiator and some bucket seats. But I noticed another freeze plug leaking so it looks like the engine is coming out. Might as well just tear it all down, right? I'm gonna see how this week goes with work. Looks like some long nites at the shop and many cases of beer to get the ball rolling. Here are the buckets installed. They arent bolted in yet. I need to make some brackets

Re: Noob. 67 shortbed stepside DD
Nice truck. What is your overall plan for it?
I'm in Clayton and recently picked up a 67 short box. I'm planning on a 6 to 5 disc swap and lowering to start. I got it down to the frame right now. Let me/us know. |

Re: Noob. 67 shortbed stepside DD
I made up my mind on bags. I'd love to do a 5.3/4L60E and it's very possible. I basically have all the tools needed to make this build happen. Only thing lacking is the money but I have nothing but time.
