Ralley wheel ?

I am doing a front disc swap to 5 lugs and need a set of wheels temporarily. I went to the junkyard and picked up a set of Ralley truck wheels with caps. My question is the ones on my truck are much deeper than the ones i just got. Are mine aftermarket or did the come in different depths? You reckon the junkyard ones will fit?

these are the ones on the truck. not sure you can see the depth in this pic will try to get better pic if it quits raining.

Re: Ralley wheel ?

Rallys came in 3 different widths. You measure them between the rim beads where the tire seals.

Re: Ralley wheel ?

well i never got any pictures. the rain stopped and i got to working on it. I gotta get some brake lines cause we broke the ones coming off the old proportioning valve. i also need a vacuum line and then i think we will be ready to bleed them and be done i'm hoping to do it in the next couple of days. i threw one junkyard wheel on the and it seemed to fit ok. won't know for sure till i drive it.

did they come in different widths depending on which truck or what year?

Re: Ralley wheel ?

Those wheels came out after 72. The vans normally would have 6.5" or 7" and the trucks usually had 8"

Re: Ralley wheel ?

Around here you'll see more trucks with 7" rallys over 8s.

Re: Ralley wheel ?

Y'all reckon I'll have any clearance issues? Also how can I prep them for paint. Not sure if there are any sandblasters around here. I don't really want to invest a lot in them cause they are only temporary ( I hope), until I change the rear to 5 lug.
