Have you been shafted?

I have looked through most of the threads here and I see there seems to be a problem with pachageing of the upper and lower control arm shafts. I also have this problem. I have the correct part numbers on the boxes but the wrong parts are in the box. The upper and lower shafts are both too short! Everything fits, almost. When I compared old parts to new parts the difference is obvious. Has anyone taken the time to actually measure correct new shafts? I have a '68 two wheel drive c-10. I am taking my old parts with me to the store.

Re: Have you been shafted?

I will get some pictures if needed but The new Ingalls part 1K6147 Is too short. Measured from the machined shoulder to machined shoulder the new part measures 327mm and the old part measures 305mm. Approximatedly 7/8 inch. I am hoping this is a pachaging problem. I have ordered from a different supplier a different brand and should know this morning.

Re: Have you been shafted?

I think my numbers are turned arund. Anyway I went down to Napa and they ordered Pt# 280-521 This is a Napa branded part and it is correct. The Ingalls part was misnumbered.
