cam

anybody know of a good cam to use on a 454? i dont want anything that will be so big that it wont idle, but i dont want it so small that it has no thump. what have you used? mutha thumper perhaps?

Stay away from the thumper series. I was looking at them for my 350 but out of probably several dozen reviews I read only one was positive. They are made to create all sound and no power. Comp and Voodoo cams seem to get the best reviews.

My dads 454 had a comp 268xe in it. It was just enought cam that you could tell it wasn't stock.
