1969 brake lines?

I've just done a disc coversion and gonna have to replace most brake lines ad I can't get them off couplings/tees without rounding off the heads. Can't afford the brake line kits, so I'm gonna buy the straight pieces with the fittings already on them. Can anyone tell me what diameters I need and the closest length possible? I know the come in 40" 50" maybe 60".

Fronts are 3/16 backs are 1/4. I have no clue on lengths but a tubing cutter and flaring tool will serve you well. I had to finish a front brake conversion on the 69 i bought. It was pretty straightford. Also the hand bendable lines at Advance auto are a godsend. Good luck!

You will need 3/16" diameter lines. My suggestion would be to buy a roll of tubing (25') and the number of fittings you need. You can then cut and flare the right lengths of line. I believe that you can borrow or rent the needed flairing tools and pipe cutter.

If youre going to get a tubing bender, get the kind with the handle that you draw accross the bend. They make much nicer bends then the old fashioned wrap around style. I just got done re-plumbing the front of my 4x4. I got two 60" pieces from napa for around $7 a stick.
