Is the SPID label gone in the glove box? Looks like they had 3 different shades that are possible. Code 12, 16 and 18.

You can always go with the SEM color chart since that is what most use to color interior pieces with.

Re: Factory Dash Pad color for Charcoal interior of 87 pickup?

Unfortunately i believe it is. I will check this afternoon though. I have the original dash pad so i could try and match to it. It is in pretty bad shape. Next challenge is figuring out which replacement pad to ogo with. I am leaning towards a GM pad right now. We will see though. I am really picky about fit so i know no matter what i choose its going to be a challenge to be happy with it.

Also, thanks for the codes your provided! What colors do those codes correspond with?

12 is graphite, 16 is dk gray and 18 is dk charcoal and there are some more grays down lower on that list actually... so you might have more choices than I first noticed.

Your SPID label will look like the photo I have attached. You will be looking for the two numbers followed by an I (for interior). Like the label for this suburban the interior code is 82I (it was gray actually).

Looked at the label and it is listed as 18I. Thanks again Randy for the help. Now i just have to find the appropriate paint for the 18I code.
