New headlights don't work like the old ones.
Hi guys,
Vehicle: '72 C20. I replaced both my headlights with Sylvania xtravisions. The install seemed to go well, unscrew old headlight, unplug, reverse the steps. Now at night time the lights are reallly dim. Sometimes one side doesn't work, sometimes both lights turn on. When I go to highbeams the lights are nice and bright. Where should I start the troubleshooting? What power rating should be at the switches. Do you guys think the plugs could be the culprit?

Re: New headlights don't work like the old ones.
when you unplugged the wires from the light bulbs would have been an excellent time to clean up the 40years of crap on the contacts that carry the electricity and cause the lights bulbs to light up

I can still do that now, correct? Or I ruined the new headlights?
