Well i am geting ready to bye some flowmaster exhaust and i am not sure what kind to get and where the cheapest place is to buy them from? So i was thinking of buying the flowmaster 40 series 2 chamber, but then i herd people say that those are to loaud so then i was thinking of geting the flow 30 series 3 chamber. I want somthing that i can drive everyday and be able to hear and talk to my girl friend while i am driving. I want it to be quit on the inside but sound tuff on the outside. So witch ones do you guys think i should get and where is the cheapest place to buy them from. Or if any of you guys want to sel a pair let me know because i would be interested in buying them. I have two chambers on mine and they will not work for what you want. If you call flowmaster and tell them what you have they will recommend the best app for you.

The only way your truck is going to sound tuff is to have a motor that can back it up. Flowmasters are going to be load on the loud side. I'm not sure what you have for a motor but if your looking for that loopy street rod sound, your going to need a cam and a carb and a manifold, ect, ect. Mufflers alone will not do it.

NONE!!! See my past post Flowblockers. They are junk IMO. Many others on board said common problem for the welds to crack.

I would look into the Delta Flow line. I have Delta Flow 40's on mine, and they are pretty damn loud, but i bet a pair of Delta Flow 50's would have a more mellow tone. Delta Flows aren't as aggressive as the standard flows, the tone is a little more mellow and deeper. Also, if you run tailpipes straight out the back, it won't be as loud on the inside, but everyone outside will hear you

I have a 350, with a comp cam, Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock carburetor, Dart heads, Roller rockers. So it has about 350 hp.

Just go to an exhaust shop and get prices. If you provide the mufflers, they should do the whole system for $200-250.

That other noise is the gear drive, also this has headers.

For all it's worth, I have the two-chambers on my Bee. They sound wicked as hell but also there is one hell-uv-a lot of ponies comin' out of 'em too!
I like the sound but do yourself a favor and exit those puppies as far back as possible. The mid-range, part throttle drone will rattle your fillings loose!!

i have 50's on my truck i love the sound and you also get a little better performance out of them and ya their quieter

Also, pipe diameter will play a large role in sound. Do 2.5" pipe for sure.

And also depending on how much pipe is after the mufflers will tell how loud it will be. Dump it right after, and it will be louder.

I HAVE THE DELTA FLOW 50 SERIES ON MY 72. I ALSO HAVE A 350 SMC EDL BROCK INTAKE AND CARB ETC. I HAVE 2 1/2 PIPE DUMPED JUST BEFORE MY AXLE AND THEY SOUND VERY NICE. NOT TOO LOUD NOT TOO SOFT. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE. THEY RETAIL FOR ABOUT $80.00 - $90.00 EACH, BUT YOU CAN FIND THEM CHEAPER IF YA SHOP AROUND. NO MATTER WHAT YA GO WITH, A MUFFLER SHOP WILL MAKE YA OR BREAK YA. I HAVE SEEN SOME TERRIBLE WORK. I ENDED UP GOING TO A LITTLE OLD MAN WHO HAS BEEN DOING IT FOR ABOUT 40 YRS. PROBABLY BEST QUALITY OFF WORK IN THE STATE.
