Tailgate/light trim clips

Hey guys,

I got a set of tail light trim from LMC do anyone know what size drill bit you have to use for the clips?

The clips are a PITA to get into the trim. Don't know the size of the hole. I would guess 7/16 maybe (?) But don't hold me to it.

Drill a couple different sized of holes in a test plate first..they should be fairly easy to push through....I bought repop bezels and clips and dimpled the bezels from the inside out pushing them through on a truck that had the factory holes drilled in it..Some of the repop stuff is poor quality...Just my 2 cents

I just did this yesterday. Do exactly what the previous post says. I didn't pay any attention to what size, just drilled test holes until I found what worked. Also, on another note, I "randomly" spaced the holes on the upper tailgate trim. This way, I could just slide the clip to fit the hole, not fit the hole to the clip. Made installation very easy....
