what color

Hey guys trying to decide what color to paint under the hood. Should I paint the same color as the truck or should paint it black and if I paint the same color as truck what color should I paint the motor?

Re: what color

What direction are you going with the truck? Custom? Stock? Daily driver? Show truck?

Re: what color

I have one of each. Both are trucks are red but under hood, one is red and one is black. I like the red better. To me it makes the whole compartment "pop".

Re: what color

Always like color better, most every vehicle, our trucks or not it's black. Make it POP. I wanna do mine the same color blue as I'm painting the truck.

No, but if you really want a "show truck" look, that would def be the way to go.

That been a huge debate around here, but of the 50 or so of these trucks that I have owned I have never seen a original hood that was not painted black on the underside. Some had little to no overspray and some had a lot of overspray.

Re: what color

I don't believe the question was how were they done from the factory, but was asking what way he should go. I do like these trucks as the came from the factory and that is how I would suggest doing it,unless it's an all out one of a kind custom. And,the same for the motor...Chevy Orange. How cool is that?
Do it as factory and you'll never find yourself wondering if you did the right thing.
