Hood Release options ?

Looking for ideas on a hood release other than what was original.Had some ideas of my own but I would like to see what has been done and to date and still works well. Any pics and insight will be appreciated.
Also any ideas on a sturdy contact to complete the circuit for the marker/signal lights in the hood.Im wanting to eliminate the wire from the firewall and replace with a contact from where the hood meets the cowl ......,that has been proven to work well and withstand the constant hood movement and vibration.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Hood Release options ?

I had toyed around with using a lengthened cable pull using the throttle cable position, but hadn't gotten around to doing the research on making it work yet. But an idea to consider.
