Questions on Headers
Ive been hearing people buying mustang headers and chopping the flanges off and rewelding on ls flanges. So would a mustang that has an ls1 conversion, Headers bolt directly on? Or is the angle that people weld the flanges on any differant?
And is the only problem on the fitment with the newer f-body headers that they hang below the frame a little bit? If its just a few inches that's probably livable. Thanks |

Re: Questions on Headers
I dont know how this would fit these trucks but I tried this on a mustang/LS build.
It works, ie cutting the flanges and welding on new ones after making the D shaped tubes round for the LS flange. My problem was when it came to the trans, I could not hook up my linkage to the trans b/c of how tight the header was to the trans and pan and if I removed the header there still would not be room to put the header back. SO, i sold them and go the Mustang/LS swap headers built for this swap.

Re: Questions on Headers
I would just buy the Doug Thorleys from Shon and call it a day. I love mine.
