What do you guys think of this radiator?
I need a new radiator, so I thought I would upgrade to an aluminum one. What do you guys think of the double pass radiators. It puts the inlet and outlet on the passenger side and the coolant has to make two passes through the core (double pass). Does this mean it cools better? Somebody told me the cross-flow only makes one pass, is this true? I really. really do not like the long S shaped hose the factory used on the 5.3's. Obviously I would have to find a different upper hose to use.
Here is what I am talking about: http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Speedw...evy,23864.html OK, I know some of you will say "If GM thought that way was better they would have done it..bla bla bla" and I agree, but will this work properly with e-fans? thanks Mike Last edited by MAK191; 05-27-2012 at 11:31 AM. |

Re: What do you guys think of this radiator?
Dual pass radiators are supposed to cool better. If it will fit in your truck, then I would think it would work fine. Ls engines aren't hard to cool anyway.

Re: What do you guys think of this radiator?
If your running a auto transmission, I highly recommend running a trans cooler in the radiator along with a auxillary cooler. NOT just a auxillary cooler.

Yes, in series. High temp kills auto trannies...
