Open to offers on all of it or will sell together (cab/bed/frame)

Frame has a good working manual steering gearbox.
Factory sway bar on the frame

Re: Almost rust free Cab, frame, bed

What has been repaired and what needs to be repaired on the cab? How is the drip rail/header panel, how is the cowl area, and how is it at the supports/rear brace areas?

Re: Almost rust free Cab, frame, bed

I will take some better pictures this afternoon. No rust in the header/driprail area. The truck was originally a budget build looking to get it fixed and on the road honestly so I used some slip on cab mounts I had to go over the originals. New rocker panels. Pass cab corner patched. Will need drivers cab corner patch. There is a spot on the pass side floor near the jack I planned to fix but haven't yet. Front floor pans were better than average so two patches welded in. The pictures in the build thread should show pretty well what was done. But I didn't get cowl pictures before so I will look that area ovedr real well and let you know.

Re: Almost rust free Cab, frame, bed

Ok,thanks. I didn't want to go through a thread to find pictures. The price isn't bad,but sounds not as almost rust free as what I had hoped.

you're right. poor choice of title. Changed to nice cab

It's a great cab for someone who doesn't want to do their own body work who wants a solid cab for a driver/weekend cruiser. Not for a show truck.

Also lowered the price. Looking to move it fast. Will try to post some more pics soon.

Hey Jon...honesty how hard do you think it would be to modify a longbed to short? I think it would be fairly elementary... I would love to get this bed from you. After I square you up of course.

I've seen several on the board do it and have considered it myself if I don't find a good swb or a good deal on new parts...

doesn't look too hard...measure twice cut once Still a lot of welding to do though once you cut it....

Re: Nice Cab, frame, bed

I actually have two longbed complete rolling frames right now...one 5 lug and one 6...selling both to fund my project...both have swaybars. 5 lug is leaf rear/disc fronts.

Re: Nice Cab, frame, bed

I am in the same boat... I have a completely rust free 70 C-20 I been partial too. All in primer besides bed floor. Frame has already been painted.. not show quality but nice and clean for the next 4 decades at least. Got my built all roller 350 in it and I would probably swp in a nice solid 35o stock. I am ready to move to my 71 swb frame which I am putting a 68 body on.

Re: Nice Cab, frame, bed

been trying to post the pictures. Found rust in the drivers lower cowl. That will need some attention imho. I never noticed it before today. Not bad but definite rust. Shown in last picture. Keep in mind this was being built to be a solid driver. Not a show truck. Would never use slip on mounts on a show truck

Re: Nice Cab, frame, bed

In the picture above you see the metal has separated in the cowl. No rust holes. May be able to tac/spot it back together. That is what I would do
Here is a few more pictures. First is pass rocker and floor patched. Last few show the only spot left on the floor (in cab corner near jack as mentioned before)
Then the underside and slip on supports.

If it's not a hassle, would you be able to post pics of the harness and fuse block?

Thanks~Leevon

I have a couple more nice ones already out of trucks I can take pictures of if you'd be interested. This one I want to wait to see if whoever takes the cab wants it before I contort myself under the dash to remove it

Oh yes, no problem I didn't realize it was still installed, that would qualify as a hassle! When you have a chance, pics of the others.

No hassle...just didn't want to take it out if the next owner wanted it in there

I'll get pictures later this evening...

will throw in a complete 67 front clip if you buy everything and pick up by this weekend...needs work but it's a true 67 front fenders, hood, rad support, and grille/latch/center support/splash shield. (and I'm offering it for free with the package deal )

Re: PRICES REDUCED Nice Cab, frame, bed and 70 truck part out

also have a 69-70 or 71-72 front clip I can include in the deal if someone wants to make this a complete truck. These are both nice and would be 650 complete with used grills
rust free fenders, hood, core support and good hinges.

It will need cups in the fenders and work on the leading edge of the hood and honestly a LOT of work to the core support or a new one...but it's free

When can I expect you?

I'll throw in several other parts if you can pick up soon. Need to clear up some room and sell this for the cash for the new project's needs...
