Tire clearance question

I have a 86 K10 with a 4" lift. I have 33's on it now, and am goin to be gettin some new rubber soon. I know that 35's are ideal for my setup, but what can I fit with some minor trimming? Like will 38.5's fit with a little cuttuing but nothing heavy.

Re: Tire clearance question

You'll more than likely rub a lot with 4" of lift and 38.5s.

Re: Tire clearance question

I have 6" w/35's on 10" wheels and still had to trim the front wheel wells.
Would rub when flexed.

8" wheels w/35's would be ok w/o trimming.

It also depends on what brand of lift you have as they vary in height.

Re: Tire clearance question

4" of lift will tuck 35's on 8" wide wheels with no trimming. My dad had a '78 lifted 4" and with minor trimming he ran 37" Armstrong Tru Tracs back in the day. He said it worked fine other than the CV joint killing itself every week.

Re: Tire clearance question

one way to find out! i made 37s fit with no lift at all on my k-30, it took a little more than minor trimming up front though
