Post to whoever said 17x8s with 4"bs would work on 5/5 drop

no chance in hell.

i just measured the back wheels on my 72 1/2ton swb

theyre 15x8s with 4.75"bs i have about 3/4" or room on the inside and another 1/2" of room on the outside.

if i were to run those 17x8s with 4"bs they rims them selves would barely tuck, so whatever tire buldge i had (would have been alot with the 275/50s on the 17x8) would have rubbed on the fenderlip, i wouldnt have been able to lower the back anymore.

in my opinion i believe for an 8" rim on this truck lowered this much, 4.5" backspacing would be the minimum needed to tuck and 4.75-5" would be perfect.

just thought id let you guys know. and for everyone else MAKE SURE you measure what backspacing youll need before you buy rims! its alot of money to be throwing away
