Converting 4x4 4l60E to 2wd, Help/Advise
I have a 1996 Chevrolet Suburban 4x4 with the 4l60E transmission, I'm pulling the engine out to install in a 1983 C10 2wd. I wold like use the existing transmission by converting it to 2wd, is that possible are their specials kits for that, funds are low figured be a lil cheaper

The transmission will need to be torn down to the input planet to get the output shaft out. A good trans tech can do this in 45 minutes
Parts you need... 2wd output shaft with a VSS reluctor. 2wd extention housing. VSS sensor & bolt. |

The 4x4 trans is worth more maybe you could do a trade for a 2wd one and some cash.
