Questions on a "71 Custom Deluxe

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this site and forum. I just bought an old Custom 10, something I've always wanted. It's really in pretty good shape...just a little rust in the usual places. I'm just going to tool around town it it as I fix it up over time. I do have a question about the bench seat, though. The Parts ID panel says "1601AJ _ Black Cloth Trim". Can anyone tell me what the original seat covers would have looked like? I would love to see an example and find out if they are available anywhere. Thanks.

Very nice truck - I can remember when that one was for sale! I think you got a very good deal. Here is exactly what the Black Cloth Trim interior should look like:

Re: Questions on a "71 Custom Deluxe

Thanks, guys, for the pics and info. I really like the truck except for one thing...I intend to use it for a daily driver and there is no A/C. It can get brutally hot here in the summer. I understand you can install air that looks factory. Anybody done it?

Welcome from Central Florida, gets hot here too!
Dam fine truck you have there. Check out Vintage Air, more practicle for your situation than a stock set-up.

Here's a couple of photos of the OE seat that came in my C30 Custom Deluxe.
Mine is a green cloth seat.

Here's another picture of an original seat with the cloth inserts and the scroll pattern on the vinyl in the center:
