Gas gauge-'65 GMC PU

Anyone have a picture of the back of the dash for the above mentioned? Been disabled for the last 4 years and had to give all my toys to the kids. Need to replace the resistor on the gas gauge. It is a 0-30 ohm gauge. Know where I can buy one.
Thanks,
Jhow66 (should be jhow77 now-lol)

Re: Gas gauge-'65 GMC PU

Ive been looking for the resistors for some time with no luck. Bowtie bits restores guages, I called them and their restorer said that he couldn't get any more. Dont know if they didnt want to sell since they restore or if they cant get anymore. This is the back of a 60-63 fuel guage. I dont have a 64-66 guage to give you a pic of. But this one shows the resistor

Re: Gas gauge-'65 GMC PU

Thanks. Guess it would be better to just add a 0-30 ohm gauge.

Re: Gas gauge-'65 GMC PU

Would a aftermarket 0-30 gauge work with the stock 30 ohm sender ?

Re: Gas gauge-'65 GMC PU

As long as its 0-30ohm there shouldn't be any issues.
