blue plates

Any one in CA put blue plates back on truck what did you have to do at dmv what year is your truck mine is 1977 dmv said only 1973 and older for blue plates how did you do it.

They told me the plates have to be the same year as the truck. I tried 77 plates on my 73 and they said no way.
