1986 GMC K1500 Tail light bulb PROBLEM

This sounds STUPID and easy but I am having a problem. I went to change the bulbs in one tail light and blinker and both bulbs have broken and I cannot seem to get them out. They will not turn nor will they pull out. Can someone help me?

Get a pair of needle nose pliers and grab the edge
Then push down and turn, this has happened to me 3 times
And worked

Douse them in some wd-40 let them sit a while then do as frog said work at them with some needle nose pliers. Having a small flat screwdriver helps to get the brass edges of the bulb bent in so you can grab the old bulb with the pliers.

Remember you have to push the bulb in to turn it.

Needle nose and the proper amount of force and it comes out. If the bulb has grease on it, it should not be frozen in there though.

WD-40 has a high dielectric value and can be used as a moisture displacement/surface coat lubricant, even on live electrical circuits.

WD-40 stands for - water displacer, formula attempt number 40.

Re: 1986 GMC K1500 Tail light bulb PROBLEM

That has happened to me before,
I have also bent the casing in like twisting the housing like in a circle
With the pliers and has worked
But be careful

Worst-case scenario, you can always cut and splice in some new sockets. Should be readily available at the parts store or the dealer.
