Unhappy ok..so what could it be

I replaced a bad fuse for the turn signal. The new worked for a little then when out again. So i replaced the fuse again using a 20amp fuse. After ten minutes driving it when out again. What could the problem possibly be?.

A bad fuse would be one that didn't do it's job and allowed your truck to burn up. Let's call it a good fuse for doing what it was supposed to do.

Does the fuse blow when you signal left or right? Or is it intermittent regardless of signal operation?

Re: ok..so what could it be

I'm not quite sure. It started yesterday...Replaced the fuse with 15 amp...%minutes later it blew again...Figured a 20 amp would maybe work. It blew. So I replace again this afternoon and it's lasted all day. I was on the road for 200 miles today....This is so weird. I check for frayed wire and found nothing. The only thing I could think of was I may have touched the contacts before install the first two yesterday. It was dark and I was working with a less than adequate flash light.

sabaka...I would say intermittent; however, I wasn't paying attention. I figured the replacement fuse was the answer to the problem.
