Basic Aligning for these trucks.
Hey guys, any tips as to where to start to align my truck ? I have a couple of questions. Wich possition does the steering wheel has to be at ? Do i start and point the pitman arm and idler arm straight ? Then try and have the rotors facing straight ?
This is probably an obiouse question but does the left tie rod ends have to be in the exact same position as the right tie rod ends ?? Much appreciated. Thanks. |

Re: Basic Aligning for these trucks.
I try to make the tie rods the same length.
Then use a tape measure on the front and back of the tires to get the front wheels parellel. This is good enough to get it to your local alignment shop. Then I let the professionals take over.

Thanks! I am in the process of trying to find what the center of the steering wheel is with no tie rods attached.

cant remember the name of the guy on here, but he does his own basic alignment using a framing square or something and it comes out great!
