How About Some Watermelon

If I told you about a watermelon theme truck you might think it sounds kinda seedy. But,take a look at how this thing turned out:

Re: How About Some Watermelon

Tell someone about a green and red truck and they'll say "Eeeeew"
but seeing it, I like it.

How 'bout a green and orange truck?
This is one of my all-time favorite AD's....

That's just trying too hard to get attention. It raises the Bubba factor to a new level though.

I like it! Simple, clean, and a theme carried out from bumper to bumper.

Gotta go to the store and buy me some watermellon! Makes me hungry...

I like the truck overall very much. Personally, I'd NOT make the simulated melon air cleaner nor the radiator tank - too 'neck for me. But the interior against the green is nice. The Belair wheel looks great.

I suppose it's ok as long as it doesn't spit seeds out the tailpipe.

Well it's not my cup of tea, but what i see is a very clean truck with a lot of hours and money spent to make it look that way...

Well, you can do what everyone else does or do your own thing. You could do a lot worse doing your own thing. To me,the guy didn't go over the top with his watermelon theme,so if you don't like that you can still like the truck. With the hood down and the doors shut,it's a cool green shade with subtle airbrush work you wouldn't notice unless you looked close. It's a 20 footer custom job

Re: How About Some Watermelon

I saw that truck in York, PA last weekend at the NSRA Nats East. It had a crowd around it all weekend. It was very well built and detailed, so much so I selected it for my Rep's Pick.

Re: How About Some Watermelon

Yeah,I mean to mention it was at York. It was hard to squeeze a picture in with no one in the way. Had to spa it quick. As you can see, there's one taking a picture and another peeking under the hood. You had your truck there, didn't you? I remember checking it out...right? I thought I had a picture but just checks and no luck. I always carry spare camera batteries and knew mine were already low. But like a fool, when I got out of the truck I said,"I don't need to be carrying this case",and tossed it back in. So,I didn't get nearly the pictures I wanted...bummer.
