Sauer's Garage builds
here we go. a couple years ago this was my shop truck. the wife and i drove it everywhere, until a guy named Jim stopped by one night and said he wanted it. i told him no a half a dozen times and well, the next day i delivered it and had a mad wife. now its back to get the porterbuilt treatment, new motor, ford 9" and what ever else he wants along the way.

soo that is the next few weeks project. hopefully everything will be back from powder early this week. the c20 "the soccer mom" is going together again at a decient pace. the body is at paint and the under carriage should be on its own feet soon.

Re: Sauer's Garage builds
absolutely gorgeous, i am very very jealous. how low is the original picture up there? and is it the specific kit to do so?

Re: Sauer's Garage builds
And that all leads up to this. First of all i want to thank Delmo for thinking outside the box and starting such a cool truck and Sam for having/letting him do it. after selling the orange and white truck we didn't have a driver anymore. checking the forum and ebay every day looking for a clean original paint lwb i never found anything nice enough to pull the trigger on. then one night before bed doing my nightly checks i stumbled across a build called "angelo". i watched it for a couple weeks and decided to pm delmo. he got back to me telling me who owned it and a month +/- later i was looking for a shipper. thanks, sam!
being a shop i took allot of heat from my buddies, why dont you build one your self? with a 2.5yr and a 6mo old, customer work, and the 2 other frame offs i have going not to mention the 72 swb 4x4 super chy stashed in my aunts garage. WHEN, and besides that i didn't want to copy delmo and sam idea. I promised the misses i would not tear it apart so i need to keep it driveable. the interior was rough and will be getting some updates. tilt, tach, am/fm/ipod, buddy buckets and door panels. vintage air and some firewall work. i will try to do some updates. glen

Re: Sauer's Garage builds
thanks guys. pictures don't. i brought angelo home over a month ago late at night. when i came home for lunch, my little guy yelled for me to hurry, hurry dad. look out here. my new truck! it gives me hope for the younger generation. there were 8+/- vehicles in the driveway and a 2.5 year old knew that that was the cool one. it is headed to an old timer sign guy the 19 and 20th of june to have the doors striped and our shop logo put on. 10 week wait from the day i galled him. going to use the same font and style.

Re: Sauer's Garage builds
hey cheby, got your pm. if i dared to part with my factory hood hinges i would use your tubs. we cant go that low up here in these parts. the roads are horrible, some not even paved. lol. i am trying to talk the orange and white truck owner to go that way. nice product and needed! the burb and the utility body have springs so i went this way. 1.5" up into the fender and stock hinges. firewall started, headed to paint monday???

closer to the body shop. hope to deliver it sunday for paint. inside of cab/doors and firewall only. i think the orange and white truck may get the same treatment.
