disk brake "kit" question

I've been browsing around a good bit looking, still considering doing a 2W or 4W disk brake upgrade. Or, I may just add a booster to my ol drums and call it a day, have already swapped to dual res mc and could add the booster for about $100.

But here's my specific question - I've looked through POL, CPP, ECE and a few other places to boot. I've found NO kits (for the front) that offer a 6 lug swap onto the stock 66 spindle. ECE (or perhaps POL, I forget which) offered a 5 lug swap onto stock 66 spindles, but no 6 lug. And there were several posts on their site asking about exactly that, and answer was "sorry, we dont' do that". And, I understand that - it would have to be a custom part, most places just offer 73-87 spindle/ball joint/tie rod ends and make a major changeover.

But lets' just say someone ONLY wanted to add rotors, bracket, and calipers to a 66 spindle and retain 6 lugs - is there anything out there for that? (not interested in a crossmember swap, I realize that is one way to skin the cat, but want to retain everything out to and including the stock 66 spindles. Jut seems odd that there is a 5 lug rotor that fits a 66 spindle and not a 6 lug kit.

Is the lack of such a kit, or should I say, the availability of the 5 lug only kit, simply because the 66 truck spindle is common with 5 lug vette spindle when it first got disks??

Thanks guys!
