Re: Blazer Top Stainless Hold Downs

I've never seen those before. Do they go on a single wall hardtop at the attachment points on the side?

Yes, that is correct. They spread extra support across that thin section of fiberglass that is bolted to the body sides and add a nice clean (polished) appearance.

According to board rules/procedures, sales & deals are not to be made by PM on items listed for sale. To keep everything above board, so everyone can see what is happening, buyers must call for an item in the thread. PMs are informational only and do not save a place in line. Sorry.
Truckseats these are yours, as you are first to call for them.

Wow, thought the fact I said.. "pm sent" was clear I was calling them. Kind of ridiculous.. And the Fact I messaged you for payment info..

Re: Blazer Top Stainless Hold Downs

I didn't know there was such a huge difference between "pm sent" and "I call them".
Truckseats knew I was calling them and thats why he said "if they are still available."

Re: Blazer Top Stainless Hold Downs

And I was aware that you have to post something on the thread to be in line. And that a pm doesnt reserve your place. But I did not just pm (where no one can see) I posted on the thread clearly wanting to buy and then pm'd for the info.

Re: Blazer Top Stainless Hold Downs

72blazerblue I am just an outsider looking in. I am not writing this to ruffle your feathers, just giving you my point of view. I can see your frustration, but you kind of put Frank in a tough spot by just saying PM sent. Frank is going by the written rules:

The site owner even went so far as to say "strictly prohibited."

PM sent means you sent a PM. It does not mean "I will take it." or even "I am holding my place in line." It means you sent a PM. The other interested parties have no idea what is going on in the PM. Frank is trying to keep it all in the thread as the site rules dictate.

Re: Blazer Top Stainless Hold Downs

Yeah I see that. And my apologies. I've just seen many many sales go by 'pm sent on ______ item' and it seems everyone after that goes to say I would like it if the above passes. I just thought it was normal to say that and pm for the billing info. And the other buyer I think got the same notion as he said I will take it if its available. Just my side of it... You didn't ruffled any feathers.

Because of these PM confusions, some people even add-"NO PMs" to avoid the problems. I try to always answer questions, but not make any PM sales. Your first PM to me was a lower offer, which I wasn't interested in, so I didn't take you as a strong serious buyer. You can discuss this with the board staff and I will gladly abide by any final decision they make, but please decide in a timely manner so I can complete this sale. thanks, frank

Re: Blazer Top Stainless Hold Downs

I don't want to take it to a board or anything. I did immediately after that tell you I would take it. At this time no one else had posted so I jusy figured it was a done deal. Sorry. So I guess because of my mistake of not saying I call it, truck seats has the set. I still would really like to buy them so let me know what happens. Sorry for confusing everyone, including myself!

Re: Blazer Top Stainless Hold Downs

Frank, I would not have a problem passing these on to 72blazerblue. I believe you are following the rules and everybody appreciates that. It sounds like he needs them right now and they would be going on my shelf for a while waiting for my wife to make up her mind on her blazer. So if you wish to give him another chance at a full price offer that is ok with me. Otherwise I am ready to paypal now. Thanks.

That should take care of you. I'll PM (pun intended) you payment instructions. Thanks to Tim/Truckseats for giving up some nice hard to find parts! You might seriously consider Truckseats for your seat covers, if you ever need any. He has some really nice stuff. frank
