Lift me
I've got a 63 4x4 Burb coming, I want to lift it btwn 2&4 inches. I know y'all are into the lowrider thing, but someone here must do lifts, right?
Here is my idea;

Re: Lift me
I think lifting your Suburban and staying with the original style springs is going to require custom built springs. Those springs are quite different from say '69 and later springs, which there are off the shelf lifts for. I could be wrong, so I would suggest maybe posting this in the 4x4 section, and see what those guys have to say.
If it were me, I would change to the '73-'87 style springs. Using these can provide a better ride while still providing a bit of lift. Of course this is easy for me since I can fabricate whatever I need to make that happen. I guess this all depends on what your skills and capabilities are in regards to welding and fabricating

Re: Lift me
When I had my 61 4x4 I wanted to do the same. You are going to have to get new leaf springs built, or rearch yours and add leaves, or do what I did and put the leaf spring frame mounts from a 73-87 4x4 truck on your frame. That way you can by off the shelf lift kits for 73-87 trucks. I'll search for my thread and post it here.

Re: Lift me
Check out this. I know its alot of work, but its worth it! It rode so much smoother, for a 4x4. Lol.
