I just realized...

I have not introduced myself….

I just replied to a post and saw that it was my 1st post….

I have been lurking here for so long and did not realize it.

My name is Jim and I have a 52 in the process of yet another S10 swap.

I pondered starting a post on it, but there is so many that it would just get lost in the pack.

I do want to thank all of those that have posted their projects, as it made my decision easier when I chose to do mine. Tons of good info in this forum and tons of good people also.

I hope to be able to put in some advise and add to the value where I can at some point , but I have a feeling that I will be also asking a lot of questions.

Jim

Re: I just realized...

Welcome.
We like pics and to see the progress of others builds.
I wouldn't worry about it getting lost in the pack.
Everyone has their own way of doing certain things and you would probably help some of the other members.

Re: I just realized...

Welcome from Phoenix, in the Valley of the Sunstroke.

Let me encourage you to start a build thread or just start posting pics. Everybody has their own ideas and ways of doing things, it's always good to see how somebody else is doing stuff. Post it up.

Re: I just realized...

Thank you for alll the welcomes !!

I known how this board likes it pictures..... I see this a lot

So I will post a few pics that I have on my next days off

I can tell you a little about my project, as envisioned...

1952 AD, standard (3 window)
1998 S-10 standard cab, long bed
1969 292 L6
700R4
EZ-EFI Self Tuning Fuel Injection System
S-10 4x4 Blazer rear end

Thinking that I wanted something that was going to basically a "Turn the key & Go" package" is the reasoning for the F/I Sys and the 700R4.

The 292 L6, well thats just to be a little bit different than the rest, seems every one is running a V8 of some sort these days.

With all the torque that the 292 makes, along with the lower gears in the 700R4 it should be able to give some of the other guys a run for their money, at least off the line is what my thinking is, but how knows... I will be fun to drive and cruse around town and on the Hwy,

Oh.... and it will keep the wife from wanting to drive my Vw bug with 2332 with 48 IDF's that thing can be a hand full when you have your foot in it

Thanks again, Jim

and also as far as those 292's go, i have a buddy that has one in a model A that runs like a scalded dog. With the right setup those engines make plenty of power.
