found a c/c 63 3/4t crew cab

a friend came by his morning and said that he had some of his trucks for sale
one which is a 63 Canadian production gmc crew cab w/long fleetside 3/4t with c/c trim . believe that the w/b is 139". cab is the only good part with rust in rockers and cab corners.. he is in the process of moving so it may be a couple of weeks before I can get any pictures
more than likely this style cab(but 63) without back doors. has other parts trucks to go with it

Re: found a c/c 63 3/4t crew cab

here are the pictures for that c/c mentioned above it will take a long box. everything is there for it except for an eng and the rad support. there is an 88 1/2t c/c frame with a 305 /700r4 that goes with it . there is only 1' difference in w/b between them. the newer c/c do not have as high a hump over the back axle as do ordinary p/us. has 5 stud wheels.
there is also a 65 p/u for parts that is inc
$1,000.00 takes all

same fellow that has these also has a suburban coming up for sale that he has just finished
66 w350 crate , 700r4, painted gold; has done quite a bit of work to it. brought it up from Idaho a few years back-rust free. he is just finishing up the carpeting now and has to take it for an inspection so as he can get it registered in Canada . will get some photos of it when it is registered

the only major differences between Canadian and US production was in the GMC.
they didn't use the V6 eng in production up here, but instead used the sbc

Re: found a c/c 63 3/4t crew cab

Saw that, thanks. Good price on the red 63. Too bad soo far from NC, Id love to have it. The 64-66 in #1 post has an interesting peice of trim on the roof. I haven't seen this before. Was that a crew cab option? Never seen it on a GMC or chevy. I have a set of the 60-63 GMC window trim for the door glass that Im putting on my 63.

the second one has that strip also . it covers where the weld seam was for the roof on the ext. there were various places around our countries that made these extension and had their own way of doing things it appears. on the red 63 the custom trim at the back(horizontal ones) were brass and plated. never seen that before either.
I have the door trim for 1 side only for 60-63 and a complete set for 64-66 along with 60-63 w/s trim

Re: found a c/c 63 3/4t crew cab

I have 60-61 tri for my windshield, just have to finish polishing it...although got lucky and got dent free trim from a glass removal co, so it was removed properly. My side window trim came from a fellow in IL and it is also dent free. It looks so cool on the chevys with the sail panels. I like it better on the chevys than the GMC's, the open long stips just kinda look unfinished...in my opinion. I think the sail panels and window trim make a good combo. Id like to get my hands on one of the top cab trim strips and see how it'll look on a c-10.

you would more than likely have to make one. I can more than likely get you a name and nbr of where you may be able to track down that 64-6 crewcab
as I sold it to a member that shows up here once in a while-"shiny" from cowichan lake.
I just finally tracked down and bought 2 sets of gmc suburban sdie trim after quite a long time of looking.1st set had a kink and the shipper(from NH) hasn't really addressed it . anyway had another set come in from bonner's ferry that was pretty good. sold the other set. it has all worked out

Re: found a c/c 63 3/4t crew cab

Thats good to hear. I do have some extra pieces from the 62-63 thin windshield trim (the top pieces) if anybody needs those. It looks like the top cab trim was placed on the same body line as the standard cab. Ill see if I can find "shiny". maybe he can make a template of it or get some pics for me.
