This is a good deal, If I lived in Texas I would have bought it in a heartbeat. Too bad I live so far away. Good luck with the sale.

Re: Parting out 67 SWB project For Sale or Trade

It clearly means another sale or trade took place through PMs leaving anybody else interested in your items in the dark on the status of your items. Might want to read the rules for sales in the classified section. JMHO

ever consider your post happened during or just after a negotiation took place with another member? and before he had a chance to post an update here?
your posts were within hours of each other....how soon or long should it take someone to post updates?

Buyer Seller code of conduct:

II. Make initial contact with the seller in the thread. Failure to make initial contact for parts you are interested in via the thread will result in account restrictions.

Re: Parting out 67 SWB project For Sale or Trade

Now how can you say for certain that the person he's working with on the parts listed as "sale pending" did not make initial contact with him in this thread? Half a dozen people have posts in this thread....and you certainly weren't the first of them, you were the last. And when you're getting the full skinny on something and ready to order....do you sometimes add or subtract items from your order? Like...."ohhh"..."I'll take that too then"! I do.

I fail to see where anyone one has been hurt here. Seems to me you're just a bit miffed over missing something you were interested in and trying to cause trouble for the seller. IMHO Brett did nothing wrong.

Re: Parting out 67 SWB project For Sale or Trade

I am not saying Brett did anything wrong. I am clearly stating that in none of the previous post did anyone post that they had any interest in the front clip. So I posted that I was interested in the front clip via the thread. Yes I am a little miffed if that is what you want to call it, but that is the way it goes sometimes when you play by the rules.

Thanks for letting me know how this deal went down. Nice clip you got yourself!

I hope you're not insinuating that anyone in this thread isn't "playing by the rules". People mention an interest and PM for details...that's kind of how it works around here. You just made a post before the seller had a chance to make an update post (later the same day)...it happens.
If several days had gone by in between the sellers posts I could understand your issue....this thread is only 3 days old and the seller has responded more then once each day....

As far as "letting you know how it went down"....I'm not saying that's how it went down. Reality is you'd need to ask the seller about that....I was just giving you possible scenarios. You're assuming again.

and if you're saying I got the clip....you're making more assumptions again.

Hey folks it's Friday evening.....time to relax and let the trouble's of the week go!!! Have a beer...cheers!
