What starter
Help me out, I have a 6.0 with a 4L60. Do I need a 6.0 starter or do I need a 5.3 starter? I think all the 6.0's came with an 4L80 tranny so I'm guessing that is the differance when you look up starters.

Re: What starter
The difference is in the block mounting style. Early truck motors used a have a mounting boss that interferes with mounting a car style starter. The flywheel/flexplate teeth end up in the same relative position regardless of transmission choice.
