Hello from Iola, Kansas

Been Lurking on and off for a while. Decided to take the leap and register.
Started restoring my 1972 GMC Short Stepside. A little history on the truck. In May of 1972 my dad picked me up from school, kindergarden, and we drove his '56 Chevy PU to Fredonia, KS from Wichita to my Grandfather and Granduncles Pontiac/GMC dealership. We drove back in the GMC, Dad had it ordered from the factory. 300,000 miles later Dad called me and said that he needed me to come home for something and he hands me the keys.

That kind of history makes it even sweeter. I hope you can do the same some day.

Re: Hello from Iola, Kansas

I don't think it's going happen this time around. My wife can't take the heat. I am planning to hit some of the car shows this fall.
I am making hard plans to be at the Ol'Marais River Run Car Show in Ottawa, KS in Sept.. Last year they had over 1200 cars/trucks registered.
Please eat a hamburger for me!!!!

Welcome from Ottawa. We'll have to meet up if you make it here in September. It is definitely a good show.
