Happy Fathers Day to all you dads.
Does anyone have any plans for an outing in their trucks today?

Re: Happy Fathers Day
Youngest son and I did our Fathers Day thing yesterday, by going to Petit Jean. Smaller crowd, fewer cars to be judged and waaaaay fewer cars in the Corral Wondering why....oh, maybe they were staying hooked up with the Mecom auction of Pat Salmons' collection.
Happy Father's Day, Jim.

Re: Happy Fathers Day
Happy Fathers Day to all you dads. We will be going to my son's house a little while later for the evening meal, supper.
I am sure we will end up in his garage at some point talking about these old trucks since he has 5 of them. He just started building a '72 swb fleet not long ago.

Happy Fathers day to all our dads!! I lost my dad last year. It has just dawned on me that this is the first time in all my many years that I will not see or talk to my dad on this day. Hug your kids daddies!!

Re: Happy Fathers Day
As usual I'm a day late I talked to my kids yesterday (my daughter lives 120 miles from here & my son is in Italy studying) so that was nice. My wife let me paint the entry way & hall I'm a little odd I love to paint.

Re: Happy Fathers Day
I lost this thread in the shuffle.Sorry to hear about the one's that has lost their parents. I feel for you.I still have both and they have remarried to different one's about 40 years ago.no joke. I'm 49 now.
About 25 years ago my dad and I had a big blow up and I didn't talk to him like I should for those years until August of 2010 when I had a massive heart attack and my wife called and told my step mother what had happened .Both sets of parents came and that was the first time I can really remember my father crying over anything.Just thought he didn't care about what happened. We are alot alike. But to make a long story short I am closer to mom, dad, step mother and my step dad than ever before. Ilived with my mom and step dad then went to dad and step mom's on the weekends. I always thought my step mom didn't really care but she made sure I got school clothes and christmas and birthday presents like my brother and sisters. I have a whole different attitude towards my parents now. I could tell a few more things but ya'll probably don't want a long family story. Sorry for the long post but it's one of my bad nites. Thanks for listening |
