CA YOM 70-72 Calif. License Plates - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Here is a matching set of vintage California commercial license plates. As you can see they were last registered 15 years ago. They are DMV clear (out of the system) and can be used on any 1970, 71, or 72 truck under the YOM (Year of Manufacture) program. If you have one of these year trucks, these are the plates that you need. All that is required is the correct year sticker (Available on ebay for $12 here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1972-califor...item2561038bff ) You can call the DMV at 1-800-777-0133 and check for yourself if you have any doubts.

They are off of a 72 truck I parted out a few years ago. They are nice to have if you want to run original plates on your truck. They also include matching vintage dealer frames for a nice touch. They are in good shape for 40 years old, and can be restored easily for show quality, or run as is for a patina or driver. Most importantly, they are Original and Unaltered.

Thanks Mo. These plates are original and unmistakeable. The "new" YOM plates California is peddling will look nothing like these, other than being blue and gold in color. The OG dealer frames are icing on the cake. Crest Chevrolet sits at the end of Route 66, and is still in business today.

Check out this NOS dealer frame I have from them dating back to the early 60's. Notice that there are no holes in the top, as the older plates only utilized the bottom holes when mounted to the front bumper
