Oil Gauge Question

Just noticed on my '65 C10 that my oil gauge fluctuates a little now. While the foot is on the pedal it holds a very steady 45 but when I let off the gas it will go down to around 30. Never noticed it before. That doesn't mean it didn't before, I just can't recall it doing that. Does that sound normal?

Re: Oil Gauge Question

The oil pressure drops do to the drop in RPMS. Normal. My 63 does the same thing. My 50 year old 230 holds 42-45 going down the road and around 30-35 at idle.
