What= ????????????

I have an '84 six cylinder 250. I have a power steering pump but no bracket. What can I get a bracket off of that will fit properly. I found a complete bracket for a mid 80's GM/Chevy 250 six cylinder, but they said it was for a six cylinder with an integrated head. Does any know what this is? Any information is appreciated. Thanks.

Re: What= ????????????

If you have an 84 then you will have an integral head. Quick check - take the top of the engine air cleaner. If you have a 2 throat carb is is an integral head - all non-integrals have 1 barrels and only 250's after 1981 have 2 barrels.

Other things to watch:
GM changed the connection at the steering box at some point. Assuming you have a power steering gear, you need to make syre you get the correct style hose ends. BTW six cylinder hoses are different; I'm not sure if V8 pumps have the return line oriented correctly, or if the V8 hoses are long enough.
You need to make sure the pump mounts mount up to your brackets, there are 4 mounting pads on most pumps but only 3 will be drilled And the studs on the rear come in different patterns IIRC.

Brackets are often available on evilflay under $50. They ONLY fit integral heads, so the're not real popular. Earlier brackets which will not fit integrals are much more expensive.
