you should post a pic of the engine when you can if it is the original. never seen a air injector reactor on a 67 327.

Re: OG Owner OG Paint '67 Field Find

Yes, OG = Original. Not sure if it is a 327 or a 350, I need to do some
more looking at it. Not sure if it has the reactor still, I didn't spend too
much time in the engine compartment due to a few pesky wasps...
I found the 4.11 Posi with the speed warning kind of funny. Needs a tach! LOL

jonathan (VA72C10) would be interested in your speed warning cluster and would be able to hook you up with a good tach cluster if you decide you want a tach cluster and decide to part with the speed warning one

Re: OG Owner OG Paint '67 Field Find

That's a great find and that's a nice list of options. The speed minder is good to use for lower speeds, too, like 25mph zones and not just top end.
I see a lot of people lately using OG as an abbreviation for Original (orig). I don't get it,seems odd to me. Must be a texting thing.

Yep, the term has been around a LOT longer than texting.

Re: OG Owner OG Paint '67 Field Find

Alright guys, sorry to cause such a stir with "OG".
I have updated the title of the thread...

Well, I tried at least. It shows it on the top of the page but not the forum listing...
Can a Moderator make the change for me? Thanks.

Re: Original Owner Original Paint '67 Field Find

omg. lmao. I have to admit I didn't know what it meant either.... I had convinced myself it was "original GM" but then wouldn't it be OGM? That's omg sideways. My head hurts.

Btw (sorry) VERY nice truck you have there - I love the color and the options are great. I believe the quick visual clue as to whether it's a 327 is to look for the intake manifold oil fill. My 68 327 (another vehicle) still had the intake oil fill. Just a thought. Of course running the numbers when you get around to it will tell the tale. I think little black steelies are perfect on it.

Re: Original Owner Original Paint '67 Field Find

Well, not to steal from the thread about a sweet shortbed find, but there's always been an abbreviation for original and it's "orig". As people continually try to change the language,it seems what is considered the "currently popular" abbreviation is "org",which I still disagree with. That would be the abbreviation for organization. OG is a caveman comic . Believe me,I'm no grammar Nazi. But,the purpose of language is communication. And,if we keep altering it to where people have to ask what this or that term means (when there's already an established term in use),then it ain't workin'. I have never heard the term OG except for on this sight and only recently. It seems to be spreading like a virus. Maybe we could start a discussion on language in a General Discussion thread. Again, sorry for the distraction.
OG:
http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...aL3ssw&cad=rja
http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...yQgbbg&cad=rja
http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...KrnruQ&cad=rja
http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...XXugLw&cad=rja
None of these show OG meaning original...not even in a list of 53 possibilities. It's just flat out wrong

Ok,I Googled "definition of orig" and the first results were the definition of "original",not orig. Here's the 5th result:
http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...q4e8aQ&cad=rja

All I know is you can't beat finding, not only an original paint vehicle, but from the original owner? Now that's just the best! Did he say he ordered it that way,or was it from off the lot? Sure sounds like a customer order, even if it wasn't him who ordered it. Some of those get ordered and for whatever reason don't end up being taken by the one who ordered it
