questions about trans and rear main seal

alrigt first of all.... when bolting the tail of the transmission to the actual transmission the shaft wont turn freely any more, but when i loosen them and separate them it will spin freely ... any idea of what it could be?

another thing ive got a question is the rear main seal, bottom part came out easy but the top one ive had trouble ive hit it with a screwdriver, punch, some flat thing i found and a couple other things but i had no luck at all tomorrow im going to unbolt some of the bolts that hold the crank to see if that helps it come out with ease but any more tips yall have will be appreciated

when i took off the oil pan i got worried im not to sure if its normal but when looking at the crank i noticed it had kind of like some metallic color not big flakes but more of how you would see in a metallic paint

I kinda like the way the engine looks when its lifted, is there any way to get it bu higher? so bigger engine mounts or something and would it affect the trans and driveshaft?
