Rallys with trim or cragar ss?

im lowering my 82 stepside(with 78 front) to 5/7 drop.
its got factory rallys with some chrome trim rings n stuff on them truck color.(trucks staying some shade of blue im pretty certain, problly the granite metallic blue)

would you run these or a set up of really nice chrome cragar ss's?( 15's)

they are standard i guess width in front but the back are pretty wide fat rims. there old wheels, but in excellent condition with perfect cragar ss center caps etc.

Just want to see everyones opinion.or if i should go to a different wheel then the both of them haha.

Re: Rallys with trim or cragar ss?

My high school '77 had 15X8 Cragars. It looked sharp. I'll try to find an old photo to take digital picture. I think either combo looks good.

I think it would look great with Cragars but I like the old school stuff.

red02chevy, Please paint the brake drum!!! It drives me nuts seeing the rust. I like to pain my black.

Nice truck.

I like Cragars, they give it a nice vintage look. If you really want vintage though, find some 15x10 slots for the back!

Re: Rallys with trim or cragar ss?

I'm not opposed to the classic Cragar SS wheels, but I have to vote for Rallys because that's what I sport on my own truck... 15x8 front & 15x10 out back! If it was me, since you already own them, I'd spiff up the rallys with fresh coat of rattle can paint after you get your truck painted and see what you think before dropping the cash for any new wheels... Just a thought.

Heres my truck with with rallys... '79 Sierra Classic

Wow, what a beautiful classic looking truck. I like the rallys on there.
What kinda drop do you have on there? Static? How low?

Thanks! It's a work in progress... 5"/7" static drop as it sets in that picture. I'm running 15x8 rallys up front with BFG 235/70/15's, and 15x10 rallys out back with BFG 295/50/15's. The front is dropped with spindles & a full coil cut off the springs. The rear-end is flipped with dropped shackles.

I hope to have it setting a little closer to the pic below in the future... Unfortunately it's more costly and a lot more work that a simple photochop! Haha...

excellent, i love the drop. your truck inspires me to swap my stepside for a fleetside and run full trim. decisions decisions.
