1977 seat belts replaced guys.......

What did you do to your floor for mounting newer 80's style retractors? I found a thread about just drilling a new hole and installing a bolt, but that sounds like a metal tear away from me meeting the windshield.
The mounting holes are moved inboard for the newer belts.......the ones I just got look so good in there too, just not the same mounting since replacing the mid mount retractors

You can buy the proper plates that spread the load over a larger area. Anyone who sells the belts carry them.

I mounted seat belts from an 87 to a 76 using the same mounting hole. It's functional but the door hits the cover when I close it.
