I have a lead on some stock GM door seals still in the box for 50 bucks. Are these still good? Should I jump on them?

How old are they? Were they made back in 67-72? Fifty dollars sounds like a lot for old rubber seals even if they are still in original package.

I have a set that I bought about 20+ years ago and never used. They've been stored in my garage and I decided I'm not going to use them because they've been exposed to extreme heat and cold and they're basically 20 year old rubber seals.

I have yet to see a set of NOS door seals that were not in perfect condition. They do not deteriorate like other rubber pieces. They bring BIG $$$ on Ebay. $50 is peanuts for a set of them.

So I went and sprang on the door seals. While I was there the guy pulled out some felts and wiper seals that he had also so jumped on them too. I do not need these so they will be for sale. The door seals look and feel like they were made yesterday! Still in the original box and even had the original packing slip and shipping info on it.

These last just fine if not left out in the sun or any other exposure to the elements. It's not the same a if they were installed on a truck for 40+ years. I hear guys concerned about the age of rubber seal a lot. I have sets of those stored for an original restoration. But,for the trucks I have now I'm going with the snap-on style that require no adhesive. Easy on/easy off.
